Our 4 Day Program
The Te Atawhai experience has been carefully and purposefully designed to be a whole of body experience.
Starting with the most powerful driver of change, our mind, Te Atawhai creates a new sense of awareness and mindfulness around nutrition, movement and mind management.
During the course of our 4 day program you will be introduced to a series of bespoke experiences, along with a series of simple daily practices that will reap lasting benefits to your health and well being long after you leave our care.
At Te Atawhai we aim to transform the way our guests think, move and eat in order for them to experience a quality of life that they never thought possible. We look forward to welcoming you to our place.
We do more than simply expose our guests to a different way of living – we arm them with everything they need to know to embrace a permanent change in philosophy when it comes to the way they manage their mind, movement and nourishment.
During the course of our program our guests will learn about, and put into practice, a series of small but significant wellbeing strategies or rituals that are designed to seamlessly integrate into our daily lives.
Collectively, these steps will bring about a whole new level of energy and vitality to your life and will enable you to truly thrive!
The Te Atawhai Wholeness program runs over four days. The program kicks off with a welcome dinner at 7 pm on the Wednesday and guests are farewelled after lunch on Sunday. There will be maximum of 12 people on each program to ensure that everyone gets plenty of individual attention from our team of accredited specialists and hosts.
Each day you will receive a detailed plan for the day ahead that will take into account any last minute considerations around weather and/or seminar presenters.
As a general guide, each day will commence with a gentle introduction to the day – a focused movement session followed by a nourishing breakfast. The intensity of movement will start to increase as you get to explore the beautiful Te Aroha countryside with either a gentle walk or a graduated mountain hike, returning to base for a mindful workshop, followed by a whole food lunch. The afternoon will be spent at the lodge, with a selection of offerings including meditation, Te Atawhai yoga , boxing, swimming in our fabulous salt pool, Swiss ball classes, whole food cooking demonstrations, functional movement sessions, body analysis, massage, or seminars on nutrition, movement and mind. The day will finish with a group connect and debrief followed by dinner. We have a new cedar spa where you can soak in magnesium and potassium minerals, or you can simply relax and immerse yourself in the huge selection of books we have.
While dedicating entire holidays to health and wellness has traditionally been seen as a luxury reserved only for the more materially advantaged, Kia Puawai – a Charitable Trust that has been set up by Annah Stretton – is looking to change all that!
Kia Puawai offers a limited number of wellness grants for people ready to make a lifestyle change but who may require some financial assistance in order to realise that goal. If you are interested in applying for a Kia Puawai Wellness Grant all you need to do is complete an online application form. For further information about Kia Puawai, go to www.kiapuawai.org.nz
