Our Place is Your Place

In keeping with our sustainability principles, each guest will be booked into Te Atawhai homestead – a beautiful old home, just outside of Te Aroha that has been restored and redecorated to create separate accommodation for each guest. Each room has individual amenities.

The Domain

Our Wholeness HQ

Situated on a prominent spur to the east of the Te Aroha Domain, Domain House will serve as the central meeting place for all group activities. All meals will be prepared and served at the Domain, our demonstrations and presentations will be held there and all our group exercises will launch off from there.

A Perfect Setting

The Domain is an historical treasure. Constructed in 1908 and lovingly restored, it overlooks the Cadman Bath House, the main bowling greens and croquet lawns and its verandas provide extensive views over the Matamata-Piako and Hauraki plains

Nothing Tastes as Good as Healthy
Te Atawhai observes the principles of a whole foods diet, which means we focus on unprocessed, whole plant-based foods that are ideally organic, locally grown, seasonally fresh and bursting with flavour. We also exclude alcohol, caffeine, wheat, dairy and refined sugar from the menu.

Time to Relax

Each day you will immerse yourself in the natural silky waters of the famous Te Aroha mineral spa. This water will revitalise and relax, ease joint and muscle pain, and leave your skin soft and hydrated. Cascading from the Mokena Geyser, it is the only natural soda spring in the Southern hemisphere.

Everything is created twice, first in the mind and then in reality

At Te Atawhai you will be introduced to the practice of Mindfulness as part of our Wholeness program. Mindfulness is the practice of noticing what we don’t normally notice – our thoughts, physical sensations, sights, sounds, and smells – because our heads are too busy thinking about what we need to do, or going over what we have done, haven’t done or should have done.

Becoming a master at mindfulness is life changing. Autopilot will become a thing of the past and instead you will learn to maximize every moment of your life, celebrating what is happening right now, rather than what may be in the future.
